At Quill Feather Farm, we raise, train, test, and guide with all of our own gun dogs. Meet our constantly growing pack:
Our solid-liver "brown dog" is big, powerful and highly successful in the field. He has a very pleasant disposition and is the peacekeeper of our pack. He’s getting older but still has the drive and desire to work the field...and is one hell of a duck search dog.
Our "block head," is a powerhouse in a compact body. Preferring work over affection, and dubbed "the machine" by many clients, this dog always gets it done in the field. He has thick coat and loves the cold…and he has a beautiful and intense point.
Our "stinker" not only causes a lot of shenanigans but also has the most adorable skunk stripe on the underside of her tail. She has an intense point and fiery eyes. She has the sweetest disposition, but in the field she's all business. She is the foundation of our breeding program.
Our "other brown dog" and one of the pups from our very first QFGD litter, Modelo x Bruno 2022. She's a lean mean machine with serious drive. Currently training for the NAVHDA Invitational, she performed expertly on wild birds in ND and is showing tremendous potential.
This girl just loves life! She's a product of our Modelo x Cam 2023 litter and spent her 1st birthday on wild birds in North Dakota. Loving dubbed the "goat" because she loves to climb on things, she's both tenacious and sweet. She will be training for the NAVHDA Utility Test.
This guy is coming along quite well. He's another product of our Modelo x Cam 2023 litter and spent his 1st birthday on wild birds in North Dakota. He's athletic, loves the water, and is maturing nicely. He will be training for the NAVHDA Utility Test.
We are planning a repeat breeding with Modelo and Bruno. This is the pairing that previously produced three exceptional pups: Rogue, Judge, and Morgan. We are accepting a limited number of deposits. Please contact us for more information or check out Quill Feather Gun Dogs on Facebook:
Our "long-tailed shorthair" was a true gentleman in the house, but a phenom in the field. Without him, Brandt would (most likely) not know NAVHDA. Without Molson, Brandt and I never would have met, there would be no us, there would be no Quill Feather Farm, and so many other life changing experiences. He was the most human of any of our dogs, you could tell he always thought he was above the others, he had an air and an attitude. But he was an incredible bird dog. If there was a single bird in a field you could guarantee he would find it. In his prime, he could mark a downed bird like no other dog I have ever witnessed, sometimes at two-hundred yards or more. He was our first UT1, and our first to run the Invitational. He had an uncanny way of knowing exactly what Brandt wanted him to do, when he wanted him to do it. He was that one-in-a-million dog, and his presence will be missed. Rest in peace, Molson.
